UK Shared Prosperity Funding has also been secured by the University of Sunderland through the Innovate and Grow Project to deliver the Arrow project in the City of Sunderland local authority area.

**About the role**

We are therefore seeking two experienced Senior Innovation Associates with experience in technology and digital adoption to work across the new UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) funded Arrow Innovation Support Programme and Innovate and Grow Project to deliver activity across the North of Tyne Combined Authority, Durham County Council and Sunderland City Council area on behalf of the University of Sunderland.

Based within the Faculty of Technology and working with the Research and Innovation Team the Senior Innovation Associates will be responsible for the project management and delivery of a portfolio of innovation collaborations between University of Sunderland and external organisations.

The Senior Innovation Associate roles will support Northeast-based businesses to develop and commercialise new products and services, which will help the University to develop a pipeline of projects with regional businesses, contributing to raising the innovation and economic potential of businesses in the region.

**What you can bring**
- An Information Technology related degree, or equivalent qualification. Preferably with knowledge of Digital Adoption (AI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things and Data Analysis)
- Previous experience of developing and delivering short term research and innovation projects related to digital adoption or emerging technologies.
- Experience of working in industry would be advantageous.

The role will be based at the University of Sunderland, however regional travel to businesses in the North of Tyne Combined Authority, Durham County Council and Sunderland City Council area will be required to support the delivery of the Arrow Programme.

The post is fixed term until 31st March 2025 and reports to the Arrow Programme Manager.
