**Site Electrical Engineer | 18th Edition Qualification**

**The Company**

Our client is a leading global packaging manufacturer, specialising in the Pharmaceutical and Beauty industry. Their Packaging offers deep market understanding gained through years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and Beauty industries. They work closelywith their customers to provide bespoke, ground-breaking solutions for their clients packaging and security needs.

Due to growth, they are now seeking a hands-on Site Electrical Engineer to support Operations in maintaining efficiency of Site Assets in line with Asset Care Policy. The Site Engineer is responsible for the executing, monitoring and recording of the maintenancebreakdowns and breakdown follow ups on a day-to-day basis. You will deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production and must ensure that electrical & mechanical works are carried out efficiently, effectively and safely. Responsible for carrying outplanned work. To Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the distribution, or utilisation of electric energy and mechanical repairs of a general nature assessing and acquiring externalspecialist support where necessary to maintain safe efficient asset care.

**Typical Accountabilities**
- Observe their Health, Safety & Environmental Policies at all times throughout the Engineering functions & plans.
- Flexible approach to Maintaining Key Assets to meet Operational Efficiency Targets using a range of Service Agreements & Technical ability.
- Confident & competent approach to breakdown resolution, liaising with operations staff and Site Leadership Team to reach an agreed outcome supporting daily/weekly KPI realisation.
- Collate, process and deliver performance data in line with Tier 3 reporting, including remedial information.
- Observe and control costs of the Engineering function reporting to the Site Lead for OP and GMI.
- Work with Operations and CI Engineers/Manager to improve asset efficiency using relevant KPI’s.
- Responsible for completion of own planned work, shift daily input of data, parts control and booking and control of breakdowns.
- Control Engineering team daily actions (where applicable) ensuring coverage of site in relation to efficiency of service to operations.
- Control and run engineering-based projects in line with OP/GMI requirements linking with CI support as required.

**Competencies Required**
- Health & Safety related training competency to include knowledge of risk assessment systems.
- Relevant technical knowledge of Sector specific machinery and control systems.
- Knowledge of CI tools and techniques including KPI calculation.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Planning Systems.
- Team worker with the ability to lead teams where necessary.

**Key Relationships to reach solutions**
- Reports directly to Site Lead.
- Daily reporting to Site Leadership Team.
- Daily interactions with Operations Team members.
- Working with CI on agreed improvement projects.
- Work with other Essentra Site Engineers
- Liaison with Machine OEM/Engineers for support.
- Liaison with appropriate suppliers.
- Liaison with agreed Specialist support.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Support Operations as necessary to maintain OTIF including support out of hours agreed with the Site Lead.
- Plan maintenance to maintain efficiency working with planning department.
- Electrical & Mechanical trouble shooting.
- Electro-mechanical repairs to high speed, PLC controlled plant.
- Problem solving and repair capabilities of Hydraulic and pneumatic plant facilities and services.
- Ability to work on own initiative when faults are detected taking action based upon best judgement on whether to affect immediate repair or not following a risk-based decision.
- Responsible for reporting daily breakdown figures and setting action plans for permanent corrective actions.
- Follow procedures as in accordance with the Quality Manual, ISO 9001:2008, PS 9000:2011, GMP and ISO 14001 procedures.
- Maintain equipment service information and manuals with latest upgrades included.

**Desirable**
- Ability to train others in engineering-based modules.
- Ability to develop training materials.
- Ability to mentor/coach apprentices to achieve successful transition into agreed job description capabilities.
- Ability to use CI tools and techniques to improve Operational efficiency linking to EOS methodology.
- Work with equipment suppliers on new/replacement equipment and installations/modifications maintaining appropriate standards and administration systems.

**Education and Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Relevant Engineering qualification (ONC/OND/HNC/HND)
- Solid verifiable directly related job experience.
- 18th Edition Qualification
- Microsoft Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Desirable**
- Black/Gold Card Electrical licence.
- PAT Testing licence
- Project management (Prince 2)
- Microsoft Excel Intermediate or Super User.
- IOSH
