The 0-25 SEND Service provides a high quality, coordinated approach which listens to and responds to the voice of children, young people and their families, empowering them to live the life they choose.

The Service adheres to agreed key operating principles designed by customers and staff, which ultimately places the child, young person and their family at the heart of service provision. This is achieved by enabling the provision of timely, coordinated services, planned in partnership with each child, young person and their family.

**About the role**

The main function of this post is to support the SEND team through a range of specific duties and responsibilities related to the Special Education Needs & Disability statutory process and other inclusion services.

This includes providing dedicated support and higher level administrative service to SEND managers and SEND practitioners which form part of the statutory function of the service; maintaining computerised filing systems, co-ordinating and minuting SEND meetings, collating and interpreting data, monitoring and progressing the statutory assessment process.

As a SEN Case Worker, you will also manage information exchange between the Council and early years and schools settings, health services and social care in respect to the statutory process.

**About you**

We will look to you to be a good team player who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels whilst maintaining confidentiality.

You will be able to problem solve and anticipate workload, prioritising accordingly to ensure deadlines and competing demands are met. You will be educated to A level standard / NVQ level 3in business and administration or equivalent and have excellent knowledge of ICT systems.
