Sales Support Associate

**Sales Support Associate (maternity cover)**
- 1 year fixed term contract:_
- Monday -Friday, 9am-5.30pm_

We are looking for an outgoing and personable individual who has a strong persuasive technique to join our Sales Support team. This will be to provide cover for an administrational role.
- Two or more years of experience in sales or customer service
- An excellent ability to communicate (in writing and verbally)
- Be friendly and approachable with others
- Proficiency with technology
- Organised and maintain a positive attitude
- Education to A-level standard (or equivalent)
- Experience within the optical industry could be an advantage

We’re a small, friendly team and offer excellent working conditions. Training will be provided.
- Manage data processing of all orders
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Sage software
- Maintain general contact for all customers to include queries, orders, and invoicing
- Ensure traceability on all orders
- Manage phone calls and correspondence
- Assist with Purchasing administration, maintaining a good relationship with suppliers
- General office administration, to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Maintain knowledge of other roles within office to cover basics if required
- Maintain an understanding about product features, and technical specifications to answer specific customer questions
- Create and update customer database
- Assist with general sales and marketing administration

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Tenterden: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
