Press Brake Trainee

Here at Broxton we have an exciting opportunity for an trainee to join our sheet metal facility. We are able to offer 1 to 1 training for this position to give with our existing team of engineers and operators and would benefit someone with a desire to learn, with a mechanical background possibly with apprentice or engineering training.

Responsible To: Operations director

**Job Title**: CNC Press Brake Operator Trainee (Programmer, Setter, Operator)

**Department**: Manufacturing - sheet metal/ fabrication

**Location**: Cirencester

**Reporting to**: Production supervisor

**Main duties will include**:

- Learn and understand the safety features of the press brake machines.
- Learn and develop safe work practices following set instructions.
- Learn to operate press brake machines.
- Learn to Set up press brake machines.
- Learn and understand press brake tooling, functionality, safe practices.
- Learn the basic principles of forming formulas, calculations.
- Learn to form parts to drawing specifications, understanding drawing tolerances and Material variations.
- Learn engineering drawings, symbols, tolerance’s etc.
- Learn how to use measuring equipment to check and verify formed parts to drawings.
- Work safely always and follow all H&S policies and procedures.

**Experience required**:

- Mechanical background ideally completed apprenticeship in engineering studies or similar.
