Role overview

In this role you will be implementing WGSN’s Content strategy, translating it into actionable plans for new interiors product development. You'll be creating and presenting your own world class content while leading, curating and supporting the editing of content from our interiors global team of product experts.

You will have exemplary experience working within the Interiors industry and excel at bridging macro trends with new product development needs across multiple categories. You are an inspiring and creative thought leader with an extensive knowledge of the global interiors market and the skills to assimilate client challenges turning them into commercial opportunities. You will be skilled at spotting global trends, comfortable using data, and able to contextualise for specific markets in order to support designers, buyers and other key stakeholders. You will champion sustainability, diversity and inclusivity across all our content.

Key accountabilities- Forecasting and tracking with quantitative and qualitative data within all markets and demographics the impact of social, technological, economic, environmental and cultural change around the world on interiors consumers and the interiors industry- Lead, manage and nurture a high performing team of analysts and strategists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while also developing them through bi-annual reviews and ongoing training- Report ideation, creation, editing and scheduling of own as well as team’s deliveries. Support the team with the prioritisation of their content, manage and ensure deadlines remain within measure- Take an active part in the development of the content strategy and identifying areas of growth and efficiency together with the Director- Working across WGSN’s content verticals and business functions and business functions like data and product, collaborating on ideation, content creation and strategy- Research, create and write the overarching seasonal trended interiors forecasts as well as oversee their implementation into the many product categories we cover- Manage the interiors content calendar as well as trade show calendar, publishing schedule and commissioning freelancers- Producing presentations and webinars of your research and insight, and delivering it internally and externally- Travel nationally and internationally to cover industry trade shows, conferences and other events as required- Working with WGSN commercial teams to build and maintain strong client relationships and drive new business- Proactively lead conversations with clients to understand and anticipate the needs of key stakeholders with a focus on the buyers and the category managers- Actively and regularly seeks market intelligence via both client calls and industry relationships, preparing client feedback for quarterly reviews and balancing against the strategic business priorities.- Be confident with briefing and reading data reports (shelf, historic, social media sentiment, third party reports) to extrapolate key actions that will inform our content- Deliver traffic growth by consistently evaluating internal data and client feedback to improve content standards and relevance- Provide quotes for press and broadcast media as required
