Chargehand

The role of Chargehand is to safely manage and control the area operation ensuring that all customer and food safety standards are complied with. The Chargehand must work with their Line Manager to achieve agreed objectives.

**Job Criteria**:

- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good organisational skills together with previous experience of managing a medium to large team;
- Experience of customer visits;
- Basic food hygiene;
- Mechanical aptitude;
- Computer skills/Experience;
- Numeracy/Literacy skills;
- A Strong ‘People’ person. The ideal person understands fully the implications of what the role entails, how it effects other departments and the importance of their role as part of an integrated team;
- Enthusiastic, open to change, organised, pragmatic and tenacious with strong team skills are required but also to act on own initiative. Strong numerical skills with ability to analyse and take action;
- Ability to plan ahead in conjunction with other team members;
- Ability to work in a demanding and fairly pressurised environment;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- Data recording experience.
