Our newSports Block opened in May 2019, and has fantastic facilities including a Sports Hall, Activity Studio, Multi Use Game Areas.
Having been recognised as 'Outstanding’ by OFSTED in June 2017, we are excited to have new members of staff join us in delivering transformative learning experiences. The inspectors commented that 'learning is the business of the day’ and that sentimentunderpins all that we do. Since then, the school continues to grow and strive for the highest standards.

**Main Areas of Responsibility**
Your role will be:
- To present the professional and welcoming face of the Academy to all visitors, staff and students, including telephone callers;
- To manage queries from parents/carers and the general public with exemplary professionalism, ensuring that any messages or complaints are immediately forwarded to the appropriate member of staff;
- To keep an overview of the Academy calendar and events so information can be passed onto parents/carers and students as required, in an efficient and accurate manner;
- To be responsible for the organisation, logístical running and support of events held at various venues and led by the Academy;
- To ensure that all visitors to the Academy are signed in and out accurately and are issued with an appropriate Visitor’s Badge;
- To ensure that all visitors to the Academy are welcomed and catered for in a professional manner, organising refreshments as appropriate;
- To attend and manage Reception for events such as Parents Evenings;
- To oversee all documentation for Academy trips including risk assessments; keep trips log up to date;
- To have oversight of Academy calendar - keeping it up to date;
- To ensure students admitted to the academy have all relevant data added to the systems and that this data is distributed appropriately to all staff;
- To manage the efficient dissemination of student assessment reports and letters to parents/ carers, meeting all deadlines effectively;
- To maintain an exemplary professional environment at all times;
- To ensure external post is franked and collected daily;
- To manage the post receiving, opening and distributing as appropriate;
- To exercise complete discretion when dealing with issues of confidentiality and sensitivity;
- To collect in forms, money for trips etc. from parents/carers and students, as appropriate;
- To administer first aid as required (once trained);
- To keep the Academy Staff Handbook and telephone extension directory up to date;
- To ensure that the Resource Manager is fully briefed on any matters that has been brought to attention via the reception.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Qualifications to GCSE level or equivalent
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Proficiency in the use of computers and databases
- Previous experience in an administrative or front office/reception role
- Demonstrable customer service experience
