Sallywags is an independent family-owned dog grooming salon based in Northwood (West London) a few mins walk from the metropolitan line. We also have a specialist raw dog food shop, selling premium raw & dry dog foods as well as treats and accessories.

We are looking for a receptionist to join our team. Please be aware that we are a busy dog grooming salon, and you must be confident with handling dogs of all different breeds/sizes.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Front of house, welcoming all customers into the shop.
- Ordering all stock for the shop.
- Unpacking deliveries weekly and updating stock on our stock management system.
- Picking & Packing orders from our online store.
- Posting photos / updates on our social media pages.
- Serving customers in the shop and advising on all products (training will be provided).
- Speaking to clients about what they expect from the grooming process and relaying the information on to the grooming team. You will also be taking all dogs in and putting them in the holding area, while they wait to be groomed.
- Keeping the shop clean and tidy at all times.

**About You**:

- You'll be a people person, have a real passion for pets as well as being a great team player.
- The correct person will treat all dogs as if they were their own pet i.e. with love, kindness and affection. They should be able to handle dogs gently and be able to calm and control nervous dogs.
- You will have excellent communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
