Junior Carbon

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in the important and growing field of energy management and decarbonisation. You will join an established Consultancy, with over 30 years’ experience. The opportunity would suit a highly numerate School leaver with a keen interest in decarbonisation that has the permanent right to work in the UK. We would also consider a short term contract for someone wanting to gain experience before going to university in 2024, in which case there would be a minimum of 8 months commitment required.

You will be part of a close team of Analysts, Advisors, and Consultants, supporting project delivery. There is considerable opportunity to develop skills and knowledge and progress within the organisation.

Starting salary: £18,000 reviewed after 6 months probationary period.

**Full training provided to enable you to**:

- Process energy data for decarbonisation & energy efficiency audits
- Collect and process carbon data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
- Upload data to our Energy and Carbon Portal (ECP) and advanced Metering and Targeting System.
- Calculate carbon savings on low carbon technologies.
- Contact clients and suppliers to request relevant energy and carbon data.

**Further development includes but not limited to**:
Learning to accurately report on and analyse the energy and carbon data.

Understanding of energy and carbon saving measures and technologies.

Keeping up to date with changes in the energy and environmental regulatory framework.

- A methodical, organised approach to be able to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excel proficiency

**Essential Qualifications**:

- A level Maths - High Grade
