Adecco Manchester are pleased to be representing a Supplies Specialist to recruit for an Operations Manager to join their established team in Stretford, Manchester. This role sits within the Supply Chain function and it's core responsibility is to overseethe day-to-day operation of the Distribution Centre, Customer Service and Supply Chain Teams to guarantee the efficiency and productivity of the end
- to-end supply chain.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the customer service, supply chain and distribution centre teams and their efficient operation to achieve high OTIF (On-time-in-full) KPI's for contract customers
- Responsible for the inventory control and warehouse operations including the accurate physical counting and recording of inventory, managing quarantined goods, identifying trends and implementing procedures to minimise loss / exposure.
- Supervising high quality delivery of added value logistics services: including but not limited to product marking, re-labelling, packaging, kit building.
- Compiling, tracking and reviewing KPI's for the Distribution & Logistics function and, where necessary, identifying trends, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Competent supervision of personnel utilising effective leadership and inter-personal skills.
- Inducting, training and managing the ongoing development of personnel.
- Managing logistics suppliers, such as third-party Logistics carriers, reviewing costs, tracking performance and building effective supplier relationships

**About you**

You must be comfortable working across both an office and distribution centre environment, as capable supporting senior team members in the warehouse as you are managing a smooth supply chain, whilst contributing to the Management team and working on keyprojects such as implementation of a new ERP and warehouse management system.

Good with numbers, you will be both logical and methodical, able to track and improve efficiency's throughout supply chains. You will have proven ability of creating useful management reports and using data to inform your decision making.

A strong communicator as capable communicating verbally as in writing, you are a keen learner and can quickly understand the commercial goals of a business or the requirements of a new contract and support the company to achieve its goals.

Educated to degree level or equivalent
