**Credit Officer (Associate, Investment Team), London**

**Generous Base salary and comp structure**

We are looking to speak with Credit Officers who sit on either the banking or rating agency side who possess experience with large/medium corporates.

You will have proper single-name credit underwriting experience (we are not looking for a reg cap specialist, ABS / CLO or someone back of office monitoring/reporting).

**The role will involve**:
Valuating corporate borrowers' credit profile with the ultimate objective of assessing their default risk, and estimating the recovery value of their loan obligations. The analysis would be in the context of investments in risk-sharing transactions featuring portfolios of borrowers.
Taking part in the analysis and execution of new investments, supporting the team with modelling of new transactions, and familiarising themselves with transaction documentation.
Building and maintaining tailored spreadsheets and other analytical tools to be employed across different phases of the investment process, with a focus on pricing, portfolio/risk management and credit monitoring.
Monitoring performance of existing exposures and providing prompt alerts to the rest of the team.
Monitoring macroeconomic indicators and key market indicators on an on-going basis in order to identify external factors with a potential impact on credit obligations referenced within the portfolio.

We anticipate that applicants will be degree educated and either completed or working towards CFA, ACCA, ACA, ACT or similar.

You will have a strong interest in asset management and private debt, with an inquisitive attitude and a sound understanding of financial markets and corporate credit. Highly detail-orientated and have strong Excel skills, with an ability to think analytically with regards to how data is presented. Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
