Job Introduction
If you're passionate about continuous improvement and making a meaningful difference to the lives of Children and Families we would love you to join our Children and Families (C&F) Department's Improvement Team.

We currently have full time, fixed term opportunities available for 12 months and will consider part-time and flexible working requests.

Main Responsibilities
**About the role**

Here are examples of the kind of work Planning, Policy and Process Officers would be expected to do, to support and enable the safe and effective delivery of services across the Children and Families Department:

- Project planning support
- Process re-design support
- Maintenance and improvement of policy, process and guidance documents
- Intranet/SharePoint maintenance

The wide range of specialisms within the department provides opportunities for variety in this area of work and colleagues may also be asked to support with other related tasks.

Project themes will vary depending on the needs of the department and currently we have the following projects requiring support:

- Early Help end-to-end review
- Preparing for adulthood
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Accelerated Progress Plan (APP)

**What do we need from you?**

For this role you’ll need to be flexible, inquisitive and comfortable with being a critical friend to a variety of colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to prioritise and balance competing demands in a busy setting
- Confidence with technology (knowledge and experience of using SharePoint is advantageous)
- Experience of mapping processes
- Experience of facilitating working groups to co-produce improvements
- Knowledge and experience of statutory services for children and families is also advantageous
