Carer (Relief)

I am a young woman living at home in Peebles, looking for a people to join my small team of carers on a Bank capacity. I require care 20 hours a day so need people that I can really rely on to support my team should anyone require sick or annual leave.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- I require support with all my personal care needs - support with washing/showering daily.
- I need help with all cooking and meal preparation throughout the day, ensuring that I have eaten and drunk enough.
- I need someone to prompt and assist me when taking my medication.
- I require support around my home - help with laundry, housework and the general running of my home along with assistance with the shopping too.
- I need encouragement and support if I choose to go out socially and need someone who can help with any personal care requirements during these times too.

- A person who is reliable, trustworthy and confidential.
- Someone who will work well within my team but who is confident enough to work on their own initiative too.
- Ideally someone who is happy to work alongside cats as I have four.

**Hours of work**
- Shifts are 7am-2pm, 5pm-10pm and sleepovers are 10pm-7am, these shifts are worked Monday to Sunday with the exception of Thursday when there is no requirement for the 5pm-10pm shift.

**The terms**
- £11.00 per hour for day shifts and £9.50 per hour for sleepovers.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
- This is a female only post and is an occupation requirement permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
