**Key Responsibilities**
- Working with management to ensure the smooth running of the Plantarea
- Keeping track of all department KPI’s, identifying best sellers and weaker lines and reporting back to wider management.
- Checking, receiving, and merchandising deliveries to the highest standard
- Maintaining stock to a high standard in both watering and health control.
- Maintaining signage to the required standard for Merchandising and Sales.
- Develop, motivate, and lead your team whilst monitoring their performance and ongoing training.
- Work with your team to make sure we continue to deliver an unrivalled plant offering.
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.

You will also be required to run the centre on occasion when management are not there.
- To have a proven track record in garden centre retailing with experience working in a Plantarea of Nursery
- Extensive plant knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Forklift licence and PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates are strongly desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- A driving licence is essential for this role.

The ability to lift heavy items such as specimen plants, bags of compost, stoneware etc. on a routine basis.

The ability to use computers to complete tasks such as adding, checking and receiving stock onto the system, pricing and other small amendments on our EPOS system.
