Cad Designer

CAD Designer / 2nd CNC Programmer/Setter required in Leighton Buzzard. The role will involve creating drawings and programs for our in-house CNC Machines.

The CAD Designer role will be the primary role which involves working with other designers, customers and production staff so good communication skills and being able to develop relationships is key. Good knowledge of joinery would be an advantage but notessential. CNC programming will be to cover the main CNC programmer or assist during busy periods.

**CAD Designer & CNC ProgrammerPosition Overview**
- Managing Software; Alphacam/CAD CAM
- Programming/setting CNC machines when required
- Attending meetings face to face/teams with the sales team for design purchases
- creating high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers and make modifications to existing drawings
- use a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D
- liaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians
- provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
- ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
- present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation
- produce installation and manufacturing documentation
- maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with the Production team to ensure efficient running of the workshop and meeting deadlines.
- Designing new product and improving existing product designs

- Previous experience in a similar position
- AutoCAD / CNC experience

**CAD Designer & CNC ProgrammerPosition Remuneration**
- Salary £37k
- Full time Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm with 1 hours lunch (22 days holiday per annum)
