Boo Koos Falmouth, are looking for a skilled wait person who has experience working in a fast paced hospitality environment and who possesses some supervisory experience. The position will commence as a Wait position until all training is completed and the trainee is able to demonstrate an ability to run the shift independently. In house training is provided for all the skills necessary to fulfil the requirements of the position.

Your role will be to nurture a memorable dining experience that is festive and welcoming by servers who are polite and efficient.

Strong people skills will be needed to inspire the best out of the team and motivate them to go above and beyond. Organizational skills are needed to plan ahead and foresee possible barriers to a smooth running shift. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and prompt.

**Responsibilities**:

- Training is provided to open and close the restaurant, cash up and to handle customer grievances
- Guide, oversee and assist to ensure all duties are being carried out
- Ensure all customers are being provided with quality service in a timely manner and that they are all attended to in a speedy time frame.
- Oversee small teams of approximately 3-7 front of house staff
- Multi-task various tasks well and in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solve in stressful situations
- Exemplary punctuality and attendance
- Present menu / provide detailed information (e.g. portion sizes, ingredients and Food Allergens)
- Up-sell where appropriate
- Ensure customers meet age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Accurately take and serve food and drinks orders
- Deliver bills and collect payments
- Clear / clean and prepare tables between seating's
- Keep abreast of new /changes of menu items, and service specifications for reservations (e. g. parties) and relay to relevant front of house staff
- Follow relevant Regulations: Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire and ID checks for alcohol consumption
- Assist as needed to carry out drink (soft, alcoholic and milkshake) preparation

Job Specifications and Benefits:

- Requires working in shifts weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Shifts range between 4 - 9.5/10.5 hours (including break)

Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37 per week
