Dog Groomer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team in providing professional grooming services for pets. The role involves grooming and styling various breeds of dogs ensuring their well-being and enhancing their appearance.

**Duties**:

- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards or owner preferences
- Handle pets with care and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Provide nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression as necessary
- Assess pet's skin and coat condition, identifying any abnormalities or health issues
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the grooming area and equipment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requirements and preferences

**Skills**:

- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners professionally and address their needs
- Knowledge of veterinary practices related to pet grooming and understanding of animal care techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or assisting with mobility-impaired pets
- Proficiency in grooming techniques for different coat types and breeds, including scissoring, clipping, and hand-stripping

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
