Scale D 5-6 £21,575 - £21,968 per annum pro-rata

Actual Salary per annum £16,210 - £16,505 gross

32.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week

There are also opportunities to work additional hours within the residential care team if staff wish to.

Many of our teaching assistants in recent years have successfully secured places on initial teacher training.

The Academy is a residential special school for boys in the age range 7 - 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Pupils arrive with disrupted educational experiences and complex difficulties and our team will be responsible for ensuring that they leave with superb outcomes academically, socially and behaviourally.

**This permanent Teaching Assistant post will be 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days. The weeks worked are 39 weeks; therefore payment is pro rata over 12 equal monthly payments per year.**

The postholder will need to be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing in order to undertake the requirements of the role.
