Preservation Surveyor

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with six operating divisions; Construction, Retail, Fit Out, Small Works, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Maintenance Division for a CSRT qualified Surveyor to join the business.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Understand building structures and identify defects
- Undertake site surveys on social housing properties paying particular attention to damp, mould and condensation issues.
- Compile detailed schedules of works, including appropriate breakdowns, sketches and photographs.
- Liaise with clients, tenants and homeowners through face-to-face surveys
- Can assist our Contracts Managers seamlessly, from survey through to completion
- Maintain excellent working relationships and enjoy being part of a team
- Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT), Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB) or certificated surveyor in timber and dampness in buildings (CSTDB) would be essential
- Self-motivated, professional and enthusiastic
- Hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence
- Strong academic background, with a focus on mathematics.
- Comfortable in ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
- IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

This role will be based in our Edinburgh office.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- Driving Licence (required)
