Trainee Digital Reporter

The Blackmore Vale Ltd is looking for a Trainee Reporter to join our growing team.

Working under the Editor In Chief, you’ll learn all aspects of reporting while writing for our publications which go into print and online across Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire.

You don’t need a degree in journalism, you do need to be passionate about writing.
- Media or journalism training or experience
- Strong knowledge of Wordpress
- Proficiency of working with photoshop or similar
- A basic understanding of web design would be an advantage

You MUST have;
- Good local knowledge
- A real passion for writing
- An interest in local events/politics
- Outstanding eye for detail
- Excellent organisational skills

The role will include;
- Writing stories/features
- Conducting and writing interviews
- Managing multiple social media accounts
- Designing/managing newsletters
- Attending local events/meetings

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
