**About the role**

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days, Monday to Sunday, to include Bank Holidays.

Our Retail outlets provide 29% of much needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide the much-needed care to the people of Derbyshire. The hospice has 16 retail shops,a furniture warehouse, a Donation centre, Clearance shop and 2 Coffee shops We also have an online eBay/Amazon platform and an online furniture store, It’s a big operation We are looking for a Donations Supervisor to join our Retail Team at Hasland Furniture Store.

The Donations Supervisor will support the Furniture Store Manager and instore team with all aspects of running the Ashgate Hospice shop, situated on the Storforth Lane Trading Estate in Hasland. The role will involve supervising staff, stock control, preparing and pricing products as well as the training of volunteers.

This job role is hard work, enormous fun, hugely satisfying and very fascinating. This is a job that doesn’t have that Monday morning feeling and you will go home feeling happy that you did a great job for an amazing charity those who work for Ashgate Hospice are very proud to do so. **The main responsibilities include**:

- To ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by the Ashgate Hospice shops is maintained at all times.
- To ensure that the shop floor is adequately stocked with donated items at all times.
- To prepare and price items of furniture for display.
- To arrange deliveries and collections of furniture and homeware items.
- To support the training, development and motivation of a team of staff and volunteers.

**About you**:
You will be an integral member of the Furniture Store Team.. You will be responsible for ensuring the shop is safe, clean and well presented, making sure our customers have a great experience.

Skills and experience required:

- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to different customer challenges
- Ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities and targets.
- Knowledge of cash handling/Banking protocol
