**£22,050 per annum pro rata (£13,230)**
**Part Time - 3 days per week 22.5 hours (Working days to be confirmed during the recruitment process)**
**The Purpose of the Role**:
The Volunteer Co-ordinator will be proactive and responsive, and be able to work under their own initiative, with excellent organisational skills. They will find new innovative ways to recruit and retain volunteers

**Responsibilities**:
- The primary point of contact for all new volunteers engaging with Age Well East, dealing promptly with all volunteering enquiries and queries.
- Manage the recruitment of prospective volunteers, including conducting interviews, and references and DBS checks for all shortlisted volunteers, and oversee all volunteer induction training activities.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that volunteers are kept up to date about Age Well East activities and opportunities.
- Support with volunteer administration and maintain accurate records of volunteers on the organisations IT systems.
- Work collaboratively with a partner agency to research the volunteer experience, including recruitment and retention.
- Work closely with managers to identify new volunteering opportunities across the organisation and lead on the development of relevant policies and plans.
- Work with volunteers through the induction period to ensure that volunteers comply with training and development requirements for the responsibilities they undertake, or to meet internal and external compliance requirements.
- Develop initiatives for increasing volunteer retention and satisfaction.
- Assist with the development of the volunteer experience - taking on board feedback, complaints and reviewing any processes accordingly.
- Retain accurate volunteer records, including of prospective volunteers in the recruitment process, and ensure continuous improvement through monitoring and evaluation.
- Lead ongoing volunteer communications such as volunteer meetings and assist in organising opportunities to celebrate success.
- Develop and maintain an internal process to recognise volunteers' contributions, including but not limited to a reward and recognition scheme.
- Develop and deliver an ongoing training and development programme.
- Working with new and existing partner agencies, build strong relationships to promote and strengthen the volunteer experience at Age Well East.
- In partnership with fundraising colleagues, promote volunteering opportunities across the local community, third sector organisations, community groups and local businesses.
- Other general duties as may be required from time to time on behalf of the Charity including occasional evening/weekend working.
**Requirements**:
- A team player who enjoys coordinating and delivering projects.
- Great attention to detail and enjoy helping to embed processes.
- Confident in working cross organisationally and keen to network and engage with colleagues to raise the profile of volunteering at Age Well East.
- Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and will do everything possible to make all our work accessible to our great colleagues at Age Well East.
- Demonstrable customer service and/or relationship management skills with experience of providing administrative support, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously and working collaboratively.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential.
- Experience of managing or stewarding of volunteers would be ideal.
- Experience of delivering training would be desirable.
