We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to work for a highly prestigious office restaurant in the heart of London.

As a Catering Assistant you must have experience working as within a similar establishment, and be comfortable with taking full ownership of your area of the restaurant.. Be flexible and customer focused, with an eye for detail. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our dedicated catering team.

**_Main Duties_**
- Serve all customers in a professional and friendly manner, adhering to customer service standards as laid out in the Impressions Customer Service Training Programme.
- Ensure the menu has been downloaded onto each till, and you are aware of locations of any new items.
- To maintain a clean and tidy section at all times.
- Wear correct uniform whenever on duty, including name badge.
- Probe and record temperatures as required.
- To ensure that all fridges & displays remain clean, tidy and fully stocked throughout service.
- To prepare the dining area which may include moving and setting up furniture as required.
- To prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment to enable the efficient and effective service.
- To follow the highest standards, both in presentation and service of the offer as a whole.
- To champion consistency in the look and feel of the service delivery and service times are met.
- Report any concerns / out of stock items to the supervisor/manager
- To have good communication with all team members and to understand the products, service and common goals of the business.
- **Work closely with the Kitchen team with regards to food offer, presentation and service quantities throughout service.**
- Provide feedback to supervisor/manager regarding any issues or suggestions for service improvement.
- **Be on the Restaurant floor during all service times, liaise with customers so that customer comments / suggestions are promptly reported to a supervisor/manager.**
- Make sure up-selling is maximised throughout service and notify supervisor/manager of any change in prices that need to be rectified.
- To inform the supervisor/manager of any illness as soon as possible.
- Perform all cleaning duties as per the rota, and ensure necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene.
- To report any hazards / equipment defects to the supervisor/manager.
- To be aware of, follow and direct all relevant legal requirements, industry guides to good practices and Government Codes of Practice.
- To ensure you understand and follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety protocols at all times.
- To always wear protective clothing and dress according to the norms laid down by Autograph
- To ensure that each service area is ready for the start of service.
- To ensure aware of daily menu, food content and service specifications.
- To ensure all back up stock is available including food and disposables.
- To ensure counter display is attractive and all signage is updated and in position.
- To ensure all items clearly priced, and decals in position where appropriate
- To attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
- Conscientiously read and take in all Company correspondence passed to you.
- To complete all on-line training as requires within the set time scale.
- To report any issues with your supervisor/manager in a timely manner.
- To report any customer compliments or complaints to your supervisor/manager.
- To report any incidents, accidents, or other irregularities to your supervisor/manager.
- To assist with stock takes as advised by management.
- To ensure all administration concerning stock transferral or requisition is completed to required standard.
- Adhere to the Staff Handbook.
- To report all breakages to the management.
- To comply with any reasonable request from a manager.
- To assist with hospitality functions and events when required to.
- To carry out any reasonable request by management. Including overtime requests for evening and occasional weekend work to fit the business needs

**_Person Specification_**
- Previous experience in a similar role, or 1 years' experience as a CA
- Working well within a team as well as independently
- You will be flexible and customer focus, with an eye for detail
- The ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure, and to run their section efficiently & Smoothly
- The ability to work with speed and accuracy at all times
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High standard of personal hygiene
- You will be food orientated and innovative in your ideas and suggestions
- You will be skilled at using your own initiative and demons
