**IT Director**

A leading law firm based in Hampshire, are seeking an IT Director to join their team. As the IT Director, you will be responsible for managing the firm's IT infrastructure, strategy, and projects. You will be a key member of the senior management team, providingstrategic input into the firm's direction, ensuring that technology is aligned with business goals, and driving innovation. Whilst also managing the firm's internal IT team to ensure that targets and

objectives are set, developing and enhancing all users' knowledge.

The IT Director will be responsible for:

- Ensuring an IT estate that enables staff to work efficiently and effectively, that enables the best possible experience for the firm's clients and their interactions with the firm's staff, that is robust and secure from malicious threats, and that providesaccurate data for relevant individuals and groups to make informed business decisions.
- Meeting with staff and relevant groups to ascertain how technology may be utilised or improved to achieve identified business objectives and providing corresponding guidance, including contributing to the development of the firm's strategy (and formulatingand delivering an aligned IT strategy), chairing the firm's Procurement and Strategy Committee, and participating in other relevant committees.
- Managing the firm's internal IT teams including ensuring the internal IT teams have appropriate targets and objectives, setting internal client service levels and ensuring those services levels are achieved, and ensuring that the internal IT teams havean opportunity to develop and enhance their knowledge and to advance their careers.
- Agreeing in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders and groups and producing the firm's IT Budget, ensuring that IT spending is aligned with the budget, reconciling IT invoices received against the firm's IT budget and approving where appropriate thoseinvoices. In respect of any discretionary spending identified in the IT Budget ensuring appropriate internal approvals before proceeding with the expenditure.

The above to be undertaken for the benefit of the firm, its staff and (where relevant) its clients and while.

maintaining the firms core principles and in a manner aligned with the firm's strategy and / or stated

objectives.

Essential skills:

- 5 years or more in a leadership or management position within professional services.
- A high degree of technical understanding within the IT domain.
- Stakeholder Management.
- Project Management.
- ITIL or CITP Certification.
- An understanding of either ISO standards or Cyber Essentials Plus.
- An understanding of BigHand Digital Dictation or Winscribe.

Desirable Skills:

- Any knowledge/use of a practice management or document management software (ideally in a legal environment)
- Data analysis
- High level of expertise in the Microsoft suite of products.
- Solution delivery / change management
- Financial management, an understanding of how to budget.
