**Support Hours Required**:20 hours per week
**Days and Times**: Thursdays 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Saturdays 09:00am - 5:30pm, Sundays 09:00am - 5:30pm.
**Job Summary**:As a Community Outreach Support Worker, your primary responsibility be to organize and facilitate engaging activities with the young people you support based on their interests and likes, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for participants. This role involves working with diverse groups and individuals, focusing on promoting social interaction, skill development, and overall well-being.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Activities**:Develop a good relationship with the families and children and implement a variety of community activities suitable for different age groups and interests. This can include indoor activities and outdoor activities.
**Participant Engagement**:Encouraged active participation in community activities, ensuring inclusivity for individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Provide support to individuals who may require assistance to fully engage in planned activities.
**Skill Development**:Incorporate skill-building components into activities, fostering opportunities for personal and social development.
Identify and utilize community resources to enhance participants' skills and knowledge.
**Communication**:Maintain open and effective communication channels with participants, families, and community partners.
**Safety and Well-being**:Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
Implement appropriate risk management measures and respond to emergencies as needed.
**Documentation and Reporting**:Maintain accurate records of attendance, participant feedback, and any incidents during activities. Prepare regular reports for program evaluation and improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- 12 Months' Experience in Support or Social Care Setting;
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent;
- Previous experience in community engagement, event planning, or related roles an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups.
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of SEN children, those with Learning Difficulties, Autism and ADHD.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate community activity schedules.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
