Our client is a successful, privately held Maintenance Services company who have been operating in the building services sector throughout the UK for many years and have built a trusted brand recognised for their innovative solutions, and first-class service.

They are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis covering the Midlands region to undertake planned and reactive maintenance of electrical, fire alarm, and call & emergency lighting systems(including out of hours emergency breakdown cover on a rota basis).

Contract: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour depending on experience. Engineers are paid door-to-door, so you are getting paid from the moment you get in your company vehicle, regardless of your journey time.

Standard Hours: 40 hours per week

Overtime: Excellent overtime rate paid after 50 hours. On call payment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out various electrical tests and inspections and general maintenance works in-line with NICEIC & BS2391 and other applicable regulations.
- Undertake electrical works as instructed (including portable appliance testing, electrical installation testing, lighting, fire alarm and emergency lighting maintenance, reactive and remedial works).
- Ensure the works are undertaken efficiently, in line with customer SLAs, providing a 'first time fix' wherever possible.
- Provide support as part of the out of hours call-out rota (frequency to be confirmed), as necessitated by the needs of the business.
- Complete all administration duties, including parts expense claims, van stock reports.
- Always comply with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 operating procedures.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

- Electrical qualification & experience within Electrical Maintenance.
- Electrical installation and IEE 18th edition wiring Regs.
- Testing experience.
- ECS gold card would be desirable.
- IPIF qualification.
- Experience working in a field-based role, covering a region, and working with a range of customers in both domestic & residential settings.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
