**Job Summary**

We’re looking for an experienced painter and decorator to join our team. This is a new role to support the existing painting and decorating team in maintaining buildings across the blue support services estate.

**Main Duties and Key Responsibilities**
- Perform all aspects of Painting and Decorating across the Construction and LIFT estate including but not limited to cleaning, painting, car park lining, lifting and scaffolding.
- Undertake reactive works as instructed.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required standard and deadlines.
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as assigned.
- Safe working at height
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times in accordance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the correct tools, uniform and PPE are worn at all times and any items not fit for purpose are reported to your line manager.
- Ensure that the appropriate RAMS are completed prior to commencing work and escalate any concerns to your line manager.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and personal appearance.
- Work as a positive team player, demonstrating mutual respect and integrity for others.
- Maintain open and effective communication at all levels within the business.
- Demonstrate willingness to assist colleagues and team members.
- Ensure that company van, mobile phone, tools and uniform are well maintained and any issues are reported to the relevant personnel.

**Key Skill/Experience Requirements**
- Required: Minimum of three years’ experience in painting - preferably commercial
- Valid UK Driving License
- Substantial, relevant experience and/or qualifications in working at height and health and safety and the ability to work in accordance with health and safety requirements as a matter of routine.
- Well versed in completing paperwork including PPM paperwork, inspection sheets, RAMS etc
- Good working knowledge of the building services environment and other disciplines would be a distinct advantage.

Your work will take you into buildings with children and vulnerable adults, therefore you will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check.
