Quality Advisor

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight Energy Services has an opportunity for a Quality Advisor to join our team in Dundonald, South Ayrshire. Where you will be providing support to the Group Technical and Quality Manager and Senior Management in relation to Quality.

This will include
- Calibration and equipment checks are carried out
- training and competency needs are identified and records are maintained
- proficiency schemes are maintained
- non -conforming test work and corrective actions are managed
- producing and updating test methods and SOP’s
- improvements are identified and implemented
- support internal and external audits

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring at all times that a high degree of accuracy and precision is applied to chemistry methods and procedures through incorporating and promoting good laboratory practice principles and adherence to the QMS.
- Advising the laboratory management of problems during the execution of day-to-day analytical methods and procedures and associated standard operating practices through the use of non
- conforming work and corrective actions reports.
- Working with the laboratory management and staff to develop improvements and to maintain a culture of improvement and co-operation
- Carry out internal audits on an ongoing basis and participate in external UKAS and client audits.
- Undertaking other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Group Technical and Quality Manager.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

**Required Skills and Knowledge**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a laboratory setting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QA / QC role with ISO17025/ ISO9001

**Required Competencies**
- Ability to plan and implement
- Good knowledge and experience working with QMS - ISO 9001 / 17025 / 17020
- Troubleshooting knowledge and general problem solving ability
- Coaching and training
- Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong continuous improvement focus with a strive for excellence
- Good numeracy skills

**Desired Qualifications**
- Auditing certificates to ISO 9001 / 17025 / 17020
