Midday Supervisor

**Job Title**: **Midday Supervisor, Ysgol Bodfari**

**Grade: 1 - £10.50 per hour**

**Hours: 6.25 per week 11:45am - 1:00pm**

**Term Time. Permanent**

**Job Purpose**

Responsible under the direction of the Headteacher of the establishment or such other officer as may be designated by the authority, individually or as a member of a team, for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the mid-day break period, in accordance with the practices and procedures of the Local Authority.

**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

The supervisor of the pupils in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises may include ancillary associated duties:
For example:
1. Cleaning up spillages.

2. Ensuring tables are clean and clear.

3. Supervising washing of hands and to assist and train children in their feeding and good table manners.

4. Report all accidents to the Head or designated officer.

5. To ensure the maintenance of good order and discipline.

**Resources/Equipment/Material**

Crockery and cutlery. Classroom materials.

**Supervision/Management of People**

Responsible for supervising the children.

**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**

Good with children.

**Special Working Conditions**

Exposure to moderate noise, Required to work outside.

**Employment Checks/ Specific Requirements**

DBS Check, Health Surveillance, Satisfactory References.

The post requires a DBS check in line with the definition of a regulated activity because it involves working in schools.
