**Exciting Opportunity: Stores/Yard Operative in Tain**

Please note this role will be based in Dingwall but may initially involve working some days in Tain Depot as we prepare to move the Tain Depot operations to Dingwall.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and update the Depot Plant movement sheet, ensuring accurate tracking of assets.
- Operate the SAGE Stock system for local Goods In/Goods Out processes, contributing to efficient inventory management.
- Conduct regular stock counts and anomaly checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Manage operational consumables and maintain a float to facilitate seamless operations.
- Take charge of the Service Desk/Goods In Area, providing essential support to our teams.
- Handle the movement and storage of materials and plant within the Yard area, ensuring organized spaces.
- Prepare materials in advance for our Operational Gangs, contributing to operational efficiency.
- Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the Yard and support areas for a safe working environment.
- Monitor waste and promote proper waste segregation practices.
- Coordinate the GCU Stock Management Process for Goods In/Goods Out, demonstrating your attention to detail.

**Your Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including basic Excel, for accurate record keeping.
- Familiarity with computerized stock management systems for efficient tracking.
- Experience in a stores environment, ideally within construction or telecom sectors.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with Operational Gangs and the Service Desk.
- J2 Telehandler Trained or a willingness to undergo training.
- Valid Driving Licence (Cat B - minimum desirable).
- Previous experience in a Yard/Stores position for familiarity with the role's demands.
