Phlebotomist/hca

We are looking for a Phlebotomist/HCA to join the team at Faccini House Surgery. The role entails providing a phlebotomy clinic (3 hours [09:00 - 12:00]) to our patients once a week. The appointments are pre-booked and held at the surgery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be on time for phlebotomy clinic
- Maintain medical equipment in a clean and safe manner
- Ensure appropriate ordering of stock for clinic
- Greet patients and verify their identity
- Explain tests to patients and answer any questions they might have
- Collect blood samples by performing venepuncture
- Label all samples according to outlined procedures and policies
- Ensure samples are properly stored and handed over for courier collection to the laboratory
- Provide information for a DBS check

**Requirements**:

- Phlebotomy certification
- 2 years' experience as a phlebotomist preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient verbal and written English skills
- Focus on service and quality
- Attention to detail

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

All patients are triaged before appointment and asked to wear a face mask at the appointment.
