We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Mechanical designer to join our busy technical department where we design and manufacture flooring, balustrade and balcony systems in Norton, Malton. This position will focus on new product development and improvements to current systems.

Full-Time position Four Day Week Monday - Thursday

Reporting to the Technical Manager.

**Responsibilities:

- **
- Help drive the company forward with new products and design ideas
- Work alongside production where necessary for testing new products and developing solutions to potential issues.
- Contribute to the technical department and sales/marketing teams
- Using SolidWorks to generate accurate 3D models as concepts and engineered solutions ready for manufacture
- Good understanding of engineering principles, load support, etc.
- Full training will be given
- Ability to self-prioritise and work autonomously, accurately and quickly when required
- Participate in weekly R&D meetings, providing updates on designs and progress.

**Required criteria:

- **
- Understanding key manufacturing processes such as Casting and Metal Extruding
- Strong Knowledge of Solidworks
- Being able to work in a small team and individually
- Preferable rendering using Solidworks/Keyshot
