Manchester, United Kingdom MacIntyre Full time

**Are you an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Lead?**

As a result of our recent expansion in the North West and continued plans for growth we have created this new position to enhance our PBS offering.

**About the role**

You will support and oversee PBS systems wide development across Greater Manchester. In addition to the key focus of the role in the North West, we are keen for you to contribute at a leadership level to help shape PBS across MacIntyre. Supporting our ambition to embed PBS, using a systems wide approach. The role will involve some direct caseload support for people who draw on our support.

This is home based position covering predominantly the Greater Manchester area. There will be the occasional requirement for national travel and overnight stays.

Most importantly you will be helping to transform the lives of people like Sam and Nicole.

**Sam's Story**

Our Positive Behaviour Support team was introduced to Sam and began to work closely with him, his team and his family to proactively make small, but vital changes to his everyday life that would help to reduce those anxieties and factors that had become a barrier.

Sarah Kilby, Lead PBS Coach at MacIntyre said:
“For us, the most important link we had in making this happen was Sam’s family. I observed them with him and saw him engage and take part in lots of activities and positive interactions on every daily visit and I wanted to re-create this experience for everyone supporting Sam. Family helped us to find out about his past, not just the negative side of things, but equally about what Sam loved, what he was good at and things he had achieved before.”

Sam’s family said:
“By introducing PBS to Sam’s care provision and focussing on the proactive prevention of behaviours of concern, rather than reactive measures, MacIntyre have developed staff in this approach resulting in a continued reduction in Sam’s levels of anxiety and behaviours of concern. Using data analysis, from this we have been able to reduce Sam’s level of medication and re-introduce activities that he once enjoyed."

**About you**

You must have a strong track record in working as a PBS Lead.

You will be working towards or hold a post graduate qualification in ABA or PBS.

Your experience will must include supporting a caseload of individuals and working with teams to complete functional behaviour assessments and develop PBS plans.

You must be a driver with your own transport.
