Overview:
We are looking for a Payments and Validation Claims Handler to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, your primary responsibility will involve reviewing and authorising all outgoing claims payments. The primary goal is to ensure that claims payment quality meets the necessary standards and to prevent errors and omissions.

In this position, you will be responsible for thoroughly assessing the scope and legitimacy of each claim, relying on your sound judgment to make well-informed decisions across a diverse range of claims. Your ability to exercise critical thinking and discernment will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

By exercising your strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, you will contribute to the overall financial success of the company, ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently, minimising financial risks and maximising profitability

**Responsibilities**:

- Processing Claims: You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently reviewing claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation was correctly requested and verified.
- Validation: You will validate the authenticity and accuracy of claims by conducting thorough investigations, reviewing supporting evidence, and assessing the validity of the claim against policy terms and conditions.
- Payment Processing: Once a claim is validated, you will be responsible for processing payments promptly and accurately, ensuring that the correct amount is disbursed to the claimant.
- Communication: You will communicate with internal stakeholders when required on payment volumes, settlement trends and concerns.
- Fraud Detection: As a Payments and Validation handler, you will be vigilant in identifying potential fraudulent claims, conducting investigations, and collaborating with the fraud prevention team to mitigate risks.
- Customer Service: You will provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for claimants.
- Compliance: You will adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, ensuring that all claims are handled in accordance with established guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: You will actively contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to streamline claim handling procedures, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, legal, and finance, to gather necessary information, resolve complex claims, and ensure a seamless claims experience for customers.

Qualifications:

- A strong level of previous experience in Travel and A&H claims handling is mandatory.
- Strong mathematical proficiency is required for this role and a previous record of exceptional payment quality.
- You should possess strong analytical skills to assess and evaluate claims, review supporting evidence, and identify any discrepancies or potential fraud.
- Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented is crucial in accurately processing claims, verifying information, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in Customer Service.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple claims simultaneously, and meet deadlines is crucial in this role.
