Plumber (Maintenance)

**Maintenance Plumber** required to carry out fault finding and PPM of all plumbing equipment associated with the buildings within a Government Defence establishment contract predominantly in the Chepstow area, but also occasional visits to other local sites in the South Wales (Vehicle provided).

To undertake the day to day operation, planned maintenance, fault finding and repair of the complete spectrum of services found in a building associated with plumbing services.

Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to all plumbing, heating and ventilation, hot & cold water mechanical systems.

Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report any substandard or defective equipment.

Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures

**HEALTH & SAFETY**:
To ensure all relevant Health and Safety, COSHH and Permit to Work Regulations are adhered to at all times

**OTHER DUTIES**:
To participate in an on-call rota

To maintain up to date skills and knowledge, and keep up an awareness of service issues

**Essential**

City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in a Plumbing (or associated) mechanical discipline

Basic competence associated with Mechanical Services.

Able to diagnose faults and put forward and complete appropriate rectification measures

Able to establish necessary parts/plant/materials necessary for completion of tasks

Take part in out of hours duty roster/on call

Pass SC and basic security checks

Hold a valid UK driving licence

**Desirable**

Additional qualifications and experience in other building related trades would be advantageous

Legionella Awareness

Experience of working in a Commercial or Military environment

**Salary**: Circa £33,000 per annum basic plus package

Hours: Standard 40 hrs per week Mon-Fri (Plus overtime and call out)
