Ipswich Town Football Club is looking for a Designated Safeguarding Officer for a permanent part-time role (3 days a week - 22.5 hrs) to provide advice and guidance to the Academy team on safeguarding matters. Working in a small team you will develop an in-depth oversight of all safeguarding related matters throughout the Academy and become an integral member of the team under the guidance of the Head of Safeguarding.

**Who are you?**
- You will have an interest in safeguarding and the wellbeing of young people.
- You will be passionate about the care of people you may have experience within safeguarding.
- Be able to multitask and able to assist other colleagues when needed.
- You will be comfortable in a busy, fast paced environment.
- You will be familiar using database information systems.
- You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and be confident communicating.
- EFL, FA and football knowledge would be advantageous.
- Have a willingness to learn a range of new skills and build on existing abilities.
- You will be organised, be able to meet deadlines and be calm when under pressure, confident, and passionate about your work.
- You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check upon appointment.
