Job Title: Production Apprenticeship L3

Apprenticeship Qualification: Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician Standard

Are you ready to launch your career in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment? We are seeking an Apprentice to join our Production department and contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality Animal Health Vaccines. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to rotate through various teams, including Production Services, Cells, Media, Restricted Production, Formulation, and Filling. You will gain valuable experience and develop competencies in each area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Work in each area for a defined period to gain a full understanding of different production processes.
- Assist in the manufacturing of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Blue Tongue Virus (BTV) vaccines in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Acquire knowledge of health and safety requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Carry out planned and ad hoc maintenance of process plant following schedule and standard operating procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests at various stages of the production process and accurately record findings.
- Develop a robust understanding of GMP standards.
- Participate in cleaning activities across different areas.
- Work carefully and methodically, demonstrating competency in production tasks.
- Observe and accurately record readings from process plant instrumentation and laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the movement of sterile products throughout the factory.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English, Maths, and Science.
- Ability for independent travel to work and other sites.
- Ability to comply with bio-safety regulations applicable to working in a SAPO4 facility.
- Right to work in the UK.
