Our manufacturing department have an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join the team on a full-time permanent basis, working our 08:00 to 16:00 day shift pattern. You will be based in our Nutts Lane Factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
**The Role**
As our Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day to day running of our busy and fast-paced warehouse, including leading the production team so that daily production demands and targets are met.
Key duties include:
Operational
- To monitor, control and manage the day to day operations within the team
- To ensure Right First Time (Quality) targets are to be achieved as per the company targets
- Continually review operating processes in order to maintain “best practice” way of working.
- Ensure that all work is planned and completed within the timescales required
- Head Project teams to improve manufacturing from quality, efficiency, housekeeping, safety etc.
- Continually monitor operations for quality and completion and adjust accordingly whilst achieving daily targets
- Moving product into the appropriate areas safely, efficiently and ensuring quality is not harmed.
- Produce reports on performance within the areas of responsibility on a regular basis. Making recommendations for improvement.
- To ensure that all staff are compliant to ISO 18001 2007 and ISO 9001 2008 procedures.
Team Management
- Responsible for training of staff, leading by example, and displaying leadership behaviours at all times.
- Driving performance and efficiency within the team, to ensure that cost and service are delivered in line with business budgets.
- Ensure all 121’s and Appraisals are carried out for all team members.
- Return to work interviews are required to be performed within the first hour of start of shift and the company absence procedure followed.
In order to succeed in this role, you will have proven experience gained in a warehousing environment as a production team leader.You must be able to adapt to changing work demands in a time sensitive and fast-paced environment, displaying a flexible approachto business needs.
Key skills:
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to speak, read and write clearly in English and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
- Computer literate - good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
- A good level of Health and Safety protocols and awareness within the production environment.
- The ability to work conscientiously and autonomously under mínimal supervision.
