**This is a maternity cover role and will last 9 months+**

We are looking for an experienced social worker to work in our Screening and Initial Assessment Team (SIAS) providing a duty role to support the locality teams within Central Lancashire. Based in Chorley the role will offer a mix of office and home working. Working in a very busy high volume work environment you will use a strength-based approach to provide assessment and short-term support to people to help prevent, reduce, or delay the need for care as well as promoting independence and safety. You will be used to using computers and experience of Lancashire's Liquid Logic (LAS) record system would be an advantage. You will have and in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory procedures as well as being able to demonstrate competency in all areas of the Professional Capabilities Framework for Social Work.
