**Job overview**:
The role will support the provision of financial services to budget holders and be involved with project work to enable the department to achieve its objectives.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will learn and understand the role and function of a finance department undertaking a range of duties to achieve this. They will assist in ensuring orders are processed, payments are made correctly and income received promptly and all items recorded correctly in the appropriate ledgers. They will also assist in preparing budgetary and reporting systems and implementing procedures that enable an effective financial management service to be provided to the various budget managers within the Group. In so doing, the post holder will assist the finance team in reviewing and controlling resources.
