**About the Opportunity**

The head of PMO''s primary role is to ensure the business is organised to deliver our programme and scope of works. We are looking for a driven individual with excellent leadership, influencing and communication skills capable of leading a team to ensure project management practices are set and embedded across the organisation. The individual will possess a leadership style that creates followership throughout theirs and the wider organisation.

The PMO is at the heart of our portfolio delivery and must provide the working practices, tools, governance and information needed to support the management reporting, project control and data centric decision making.

The PMO will be collaborating and feeding into our Clients Enterprise PMO, which will require horizontal integration across a number of programmes. We are especially looking for somebody who is visionary and always looking for areas of process and people improvement to make certain the PMO embraces new technology to aid the future project delivery.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Establish and ensure the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables and agree the Schedule reporting content and assist the planning team in reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain milestone trackers across the portfolio to provide quality reports to support the project management progress reviews and establish frameworks and standards for Programme and Project Management
- Manage and compile Programme related financial, Regulatory and KPI information. Determine priorities and give clear direction.
- Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed, monitored and reported, identify areas of cost pressure
- Update and maintain the Risk Management process, ensure the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register are in place for all projects and update and maintain the Change Management process across the project portfolio.
- Ensure cross-programme dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
- Build cohesion within the team and motivate them to produce quality work and ensure fantastic attention to detail across the team and define and embed project control and governance
- Establish a reporting calendar for the business area and determine the appropriate level of reporting applicable for each review
- Coordinate project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Experience of leading and managing a PMO office and managing the complete lifecycle of a project.
- Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies and be highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment.
- Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning
- Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, P6 and Microsoft Power BI
- Experienced problem solver, critical thinker with a great eye for detail and excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations
- Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to competently mediate disagreements and negotiate agreeable resolutions at all levels
- Relationship Management and/ or possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
- Personable, pro-active, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to exceptional customer care and service in all activities. Work as a key member of the team
