The work will be days and evening as well as weekends. We require good flexibility but in return we aim to develop people so that we can share time off with everyone. Weekends Friday/Saturday are a must.

**The Roles**

**Barback**

As a Barback at The Black Door, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bar staff and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar area, restocking supplies, and assisting with the preparation of drinks. Your attention to detail and quick reflexes will help ensure that our bartenders have everything they need to serve our guests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times, including wiping down counters and equipment, sweeping the floor, and disposing of empty glasses and bottles.
- Restock bar supplies, including liquor, beer, mixers, and garnishes, to ensure that the bar is always fully stocked.
- Assist bartenders with the preparation of drinks by fetching and opening bottles, pouring beer and wine, and helping to measure and pour ingredients.
- Keep track of inventory and alert management when supplies are running low.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing gloves during food prep, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience as a Barback or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

**Bartender**

As a Bartender at The Black Door, you will be responsible for crafting and serving our signature drinks and ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience. You will work closely with our bar team to maintain a high standard of quality in our drinks and service, and continually expand your knowledge of the industry and craft.

Key Responsibilities:

- Craft and serve our signature drinks, including our 16 cocktails, with precision and care.
- Educate guests on our drinks menu, offer recommendations and create personalised drinks based on their preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste.
- Continually expand your knowledge of the industry, including learning about classic cocktails and spirits, and staying up-to-date with current trends and techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, building relationships, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing gloves during food prep, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role, with the ability to craft a variety of drinks to a high standard would be helpful.
- Excellent knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
- Ability to learn and master our 22 cocktails and expand your knowledge of classic cocktails.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to keep a clean and organized workspace.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
