**Finance Business Partner**

**Leicester (Syston) (hybrid 2/3 days per week in the office)**

**The Opportunity**

**The Role**
- Prepare various standard workings and journals at month end e.g. accruals and prepayments
- Review key items of capex during month end, to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
- Assist with cost centre reviews during month end preparation
- Assist with month end reporting of overheads and capital expenditure
- Assist in supporting budget holders (directors) and depot managers in understanding their costs, challenging them where appropriate
- Assist with ensuring capital expenditure is in line with Internal and Group policies
- Assist with budgeting, monitoring and forecasting overheads, capital expenditure and headcount
- Identify opportunities for additional overhead analysis/cost saving initiatives, then develop them in partnership with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders

**About You**
- Minimum of part qualified or newly qualified background in practice or industry
- Enthusiastic and questioning mindset, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables etc)
- Experience in cost centre budgeting is desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills along with superior written and verbal communication
- Experience of spotting trendswithin datas and able to offer insight and solutions
- Track record in managing tight timescales and multiple workstreams and prioritising them effectively
- Ability to innovate, automate and optimise processes to improve efficiency
