Bosun

The Royal Southampton Yacht Club is currently seeking a Bosun/Bosuns for our Gins Clubhouse located on the waterfront on the Beaulieu river.

The role can be shared dependent on hours required and experience.

The principle role will be to control the use of our pontoon by members and vistors in accordance with club rules. Other duties will include providing a launch service to our members for accessing their vessels moored on the Beaulieu River. Upkeep and maintenace of the Club Dory, be responsible for the day to day maintenance and control of use of the Club’s officially designated boats, dinghies and tenders, also ensuring that the club grounds, pontoon and car park are kept clean and tidy.

Skills required:
Must be able to work evenings and weekends possibly on a rota system

Hold an RYA Powerboat Level Two ( essential )

Holds a current VHF operators certificate ( desirable )

Current first aid trained ( desirable ).

This role could be added to a hospitality role, bar or restaurant work if required.

Salary or wage to be confirmed
