**ASSESSOR IN CARPENTRY AND JOINERY**

**Full-time 37 hours per week/Part Time 0.5 contract (18 hours)**

**Location: Newcastle & Stafford College (primary location Newcastle)**

**Salary: £21,609 - £31,132**

The group is currently home to a population of over 5,000 full-time students and around 500 students on higher education programmes. We have over 4,000 part-time or adult learners and 2,000 apprentices where we work with over 800 individual employers.

You will need access to your own suitable transport to be able to visit clients across the Staffordshire region.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To fully support the teaching and training to the agreed _Standards_ for Apprenticeship programmes.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, teaching and training workshop and classroom carpentry and joinery practice, monitoring student progress, Assessment and associated tracking of assessed work, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
- To develop, maintain and manage relationships with local employers.
- Be aware of, and maintain compliance with, all departmental and College requirements relating to Health and Safety and the on-going training required.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Has a minimum of a level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant
- Has or be willing to undertake any relevant teaching and training qualification (TAQA or equivalent)
- Has relevant up to date experience within industry
