**Yard Person / Forklift Driver**

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a galvanizing, shot blasting and powder coating specialist based in Mallusk.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced yard person to join a developing company.

**Your new role as a Yard person;**
- Work closely with the Goods In team and communicate to them any issues with the material or paperwork where appropriate.
- Offloading material from the Fleet and from customers as per agreed procedures and locating material in the agreed locations.
- Ensure the off-loading, storage and loading of materials is completed to the required quality and safety standards and procedures.
- To ensure that any material received from customers is matched to a customer order, and to communicate any discrepancy to the Supervisor and Goods-In whilst ensuring every item is properly labelled.
- To load / unload general customers in the galvanising yard, prepare any necessary paperwork, tagging/labelling and the appropriate safe storage and stacking of material.
- Managing customers who are collecting material from the yard
- To ensure work is presented to the Galvanising floor for processing as instructed by the Galvanising Supervisor and or Team Leaders

**What you will need to succeed;**
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role working within a production, manufacturing, or metal finishing role within an industrial environment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience driving a counterbalance (B1) forklift truck, and a valid licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £10.00-£14.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- No weekends
- Overtime
