**Civils Estimator -**Required for our client who is a leading company within the Civil Engineering & Rail sector, delivering major projects over the UK, they are recruiting for an Estimator to join them. The Estimator will be based 5d/wk inan office based in West London based (flexible working considered, site visits as and when required). The Estimator will be working in tender bids up to £30mil within the Highways, Railways, Aviation and Energy Sectors.

The Estimator will grow should posses Civils and Rail experience with a technical mind with at least 10 Years plus industry experience, The Estimator will be supported from the commercial and operational areas within the company but will have the abilityto deliver Bids and Estimates independently. The Estimator will be involved in preparing take off of materials for procurement to obtain quotations and price direct works which will consist of both First principal measurement and pricing and analytical estimates.Our client is seeking an Estimator with the ability to produce construction programmes with key outputs and feed into P6 if required for submission.

**Civils Estimator Position Overview**
- Capable of creating a tender analysis summary report to decide bid or no-bid
- Lead all mid-bid review and tender adjudication meetings
- Manage all tenders and accountable to achieve strict deadlines
- Manage all related administration and CANDY database
- Comfortable with issuing and managing sub-contractor/supply chain enquiries
- Conducting tender site visits
- Work closely with Procurement and Business Development teams
- Chair weekly estimating progress meetings with MD, Contracts Director and Business Development Manager present
- Compiling tender handover documentation prior to any successful tender going 'live'
- Capable of creating cost plans
- Support commercial team with larger variation estimates

**Civils Estimator Position Requirements**
- 10 Years plus industry Civils and Rail background
- Relevant degree or higher diploma or equivalent qualification required
- Proven experience of pricing tenders up to £30M
- Willing to travel to prospective sites for tender inspections and reviews
- CSS CANDY or relevant software capability
- First principal measurement and pricing
- NEC3 and/or NEC4 experienced
- Highways, Railways, Aviation and Energy experienced
- Work experience of at least 5 years for a civils subcontractor (Tier 2 or similar)
