**Your responsibilities**

We are currently looking for a Bar Saw Operator to join us here at thyssenkrupp Materials UK In this role you will be cutting a range of rolling product for various customers working from design drawings and adhering to tight tolerances, ensuring we are accurate and following health and safety guidelines

At our Milton Keynes site, we process metal bars and tubes in various grades and sizes. We have state-of-the-art cutting facilities, including CNC machining with integrated robotics. Our materials are used in the aerospace, defence and medical sectors.

**40 hours a week Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri Week 1: 6am-2pm. Week 2: 2pm-10pm**

**Your main duties will include**:

- Working from drawings you will be required to accurately set various machines and produce parts to order
- Use forklifts to gather material for the jobs and record all information on job sheets
- Promote continuous improvement processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste in all operational processes
- Ensure that stock being processed is in adherence with thyssenkrupp quality and working procedures and practices
- Handle all products in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and the thyssenkrupp Materials Handling and Storage Procedures
- Maintain full conformance in line with all identified order requirements
- Ensure all stock and customer parts are clearly identified in accordance with both thyssenkrupp and Customer requirements at all times
- Conform to Health and Safety operating regulations for self, other employees and visitors whilst engaged on company business

**Essential knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours**:

- Saw / machine operating knowledge
- Able to read drawing and record accurate details
- Flexibility to help with other tasks

**Desirable knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours**:

- Forklift license
