Tradewind is working in close partnership with a large Academy in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire as they search for an experienced English teacher to lead their department for the new academic year. Starting in September 2023, they are looking to appoint a Headof English to take the department to new heights

About the School - Head of English - Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire Located in Hoddesdon, this well-established academy continues to improve as they go through a period of change. In 2019, the school joined a Multi Academy Trust including another 9 schools (6Secondary) there is a clear blueprint for the school's development plan to continue its journey. Previously, the school was rated as RI with lower than average attainment and attendance across the key stages. Changes since 2019 have been strategic and delicatedesigned to shift attitudes towards attendance and behaviour which is already having a huge impact. There is a long, but exciting journey ahead and the appointment of a Head of English is key to ensuring pupils throughout the school continue their journeyand achieve to the best of their abilities.
